Hallmarked Sterling Silver Hand Made Georgian Tankard. This heavy Gauge Sterling Silver Tankard has been hand raised in the old fashioned way and is a real gem. We dont get Tankards like this every day.  It has been hand raised in traditional fashion out of a silver circle that is hammered over and over again until the silver becomes hard and is then annealed to soften the metal then the process carries on until the tankard achieves the finished shape. This tankard even has the centre dot on the underside of the base where the original circle was marked out and the tell tale hammer marks are visible in many areas on the tankard.
A real gem. We dont know who made this but the date letter is "B" for 1976 at Sheffield assay office and the makers mark is HLW.  Could be a designer silversmith or even a college piece
Weight = 365 grammes which is over 13 ounces.  Height = 115mm
