A Hallmarked Sterling Silver heavy gauge one pint Georgian Tankard. This silver tankard is in pristine unused condition so has probably spent its life in the original box in a cupboard. It will however be supplied in a nice new satin lined gift box so will make a superb presentation item that can also be engraved. Hallmarked in 1961 by Birmingham assay office with an "M" date letter and manufactured by well known Birmingham silversmiths A L Davenport our tankard weighs 387 grammes which is over 13.5 ounces so this is no lightweight.
